Cratejoy merchants add ConveyThis to their own subscription-box store, not to their listing on the Cratejoy marketplace. The snippet goes into your theme's header code, either through the Designer's SEO settings or in base.html in the Code Editor, and your storefront then shows a language switcher.

Create ConveyThis Account

Create a ConveyThis account here. Your ConveyThis account dashboard lets you view and manage all your translations.

Configure Your Integration

Select JavaScript as your website technology. Enter your Cratejoy domain name and indicate the languages you want to translate your subscription box store into. Click "Next" to proceed through the setup.

Copy and Install JavaScript Code

Copy the JavaScript code snippet from your ConveyThis dashboard (with your unique API key). Paste it into your Cratejoy store's custom code section or HTML <head> area. See detailed installation guide.

Manage and Optimize

Visit your store to see the language switcher appear (may take a few minutes). Manage translations via dashboard, set up Glossary for consistent terms, configure auto-redirection, and explore advanced features.

Cratejoy store translation: common questions

How do I add the ConveyThis snippet to my Cratejoy store?
Open the Design tab, launch the Designer for your live theme, and go to SEO Settings → Site Settings, where Cratejoy lets you add custom code to the header. Paste the ConveyThis snippet there and save. If you prefer code, open the Code Editor and paste the snippet into base.html before the closing </head> tag. Cratejoy applies the change to your live theme. The snippet setup guide covers the ConveyThis steps.
Will my box listing on the Cratejoy marketplace be translated?
No. The marketplace is run by Cratejoy, and your snippet cannot be added to its pages. ConveyThis translates the store you control: your own storefront, product and subscription pages, and any custom pages you have added. Send international shoppers there when you want them to read about your box in their language.
Which parts of the subscription flow should I check after setup?
Go through the whole path once in each language: the box page, the plan and term options, the gift option, the checkout and the customer account area. Anything your theme renders is translated, but pages Cratejoy supplies outside your theme files may behave differently, so a test purchase in each language before launch is worth the few minutes.
Are renewal and shipping emails translated?
No. Cratejoy sends order, renewal and shipping notifications itself, and ConveyThis only works on the web pages shoppers open. You can edit the wording of those emails in Cratejoy's notification templates. If most subscribers read one other language, that is where to put the translated text.
Can my Cratejoy store use a sub-domain for each language?
Yes, if the store runs on a custom domain whose DNS you manage, and you are on the Business plan or higher. Add one CNAME record per language, such as de.yourbox.com; the store itself stays on Cratejoy, and ConveyThis adds hreflang tags so each language can be indexed.
