Create ConveyThis Account

Start by creating your free ConveyThis account: register here. You will use the dashboard to pick Webflow, enter your domain, and copy your installation snippet.

Select Webflow and your languages

In the ConveyThis dashboard, choose Webflow as your website technology and continue. Enter your site domain and add the target languages you want visitors to switch to.

Paste the snippet in Webflow

Manage and optimize

Webflow Localization is built into Webflow: you create locales in the Designer and can change styles and images per locale. ConveyThis runs from one snippet in your site settings, detects new and changed content by itself and keeps translations in a separate dashboard, so translators and reviewers never need access to your Webflow project. What does ConveyThis cost for a Webflow site?

ConveyThis sends its own invoice, separate from your Webflow site plan, and you pay for translated words and languages. A Webflow landing page can start on the Free plan (5,000 words, one language); a marketing site with a blog typically needs Starter at $12/month for 30,000 words in one language, or Business at $24/month for 100,000 words in three languages. How do I add ConveyThis to Webflow?

Create a ConveyThis account, choose Webflow as your platform, and enter your domain and languages. Then open Site Settings → Custom Code in Webflow, paste the ConveyThis snippet into the head code field, save and publish. The language switcher shows up in the bottom-right corner of the published site; it can take a few minutes the first time.

Can my Webflow site use fr.example.com or example.com/fr/?

Yes, on the Business plan or higher. We recommend sub-domains: you add one CNAME record per language and your main site stays on Webflow hosting. Sub-directories are also possible, but the whole domain then points at ConveyThis. ConveyThis adds hreflang tags and translated meta titles and descriptions either way. Are Webflow CMS collection items and forms translated?

Yes. ConveyThis translates the published page, so CMS collection items, form labels, placeholders and buttons are included, and new collection items are picked up when they go live. To keep something in its original language, use the glossary for words, excluded-page rules for whole pages, or the no-translate class on an element.
