Create ConveyThis Account

First you need to Register for a ConveyThis account and choose a plan that suits your website's translation needs.

Install WordPress Plugin

Go to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to "Plugins" → "Add New", search for "ConveyThis" and install the plugin. Activate it and get your API key.

Configure Language Settings

In the ConveyThis plugin settings, set your default language and add target languages you want to translate into. Your Elementor pages will be automatically detected and queued for translation.

Elementor site translation: common questions

Elementor's own guides use WPML. How is ConveyThis different?

Elementor's WPML walkthrough has you run a setup wizard, send pages for translation as jobs and review them under WPML → Translations. ConveyThis has no translation jobs to send: when you save a page in Elementor, the changed text is detected and translated automatically, and your corrections are made in a visual editor on the live page. Translations are kept in your ConveyThis account instead of as translated copies of each page.

Are Elementor popups, forms and content loaded later translated?

Form fields and submit buttons are translated as part of the page. Popups, and any section a script fills in after the first load, need one setting: in WordPress open the ConveyThis plugin's Extended settings and turn on Translate Dynamic Content (AJAX / WebSockets). From then on that text is translated the moment it appears.

Do Theme Builder templates need their own translated copies?

No. Elementor's help center has a separate guide for making Theme Builder templates work with WPML. With ConveyThis, a header, footer or single-post template is translated wherever it renders, because the plugin translates the finished page. Fixing a sentence in your footer once fixes it on every page that uses that template.

Can I leave one Elementor widget in the original language?

Yes. On the widget's Advanced tab, type a class name into the CSS Classes field (without the leading dot). Then open ConveyThis → Block pages in WordPress, add the same name under Exclusion div Classes and save. Code samples, legal wording or a brand slogan inside that widget will stay exactly as written.

What happens to SEO titles and structured data on Elementor pages?

Page titles, meta descriptions and image alt text are translated for each language folder, and hreflang tags point search engines to the right version. If your pages carry JSON-LD, such as FAQ or product schema, turn on Translate Structured Data in the plugin so the schema matches the translated text. The plugin works alongside Yoast SEO. See the URL structure guide if you would rather use language sub-domains.
