Integrate ConveyThis with your Hubspot CMS by following these simple steps:

Create ConveyThis Account

Create a ConveyThis account here. Your ConveyThis account dashboard lets you view and manage all your translations.

Configure Your Integration

Select HubSpot as your website technology. Enter your domain name and indicate the languages you want to translate your website into. Click "Next" to proceed through the setup steps.

Install via HubSpot Settings

In your HubSpot account, click the settings icon in the main navigation bar. Navigate to Website > Pages in the left sidebar menu, then add the ConveyThis code snippet to the Site Header HTML of all pages and blog posts. View detailed guide.

Test and Manage

Visit your website to see the language switcher appear at the bottom right (may take a few minutes). Test the language switching functionality and manage all your translations through the ConveyThis dashboard.

HubSpot CMS translation: common questions

Why not use HubSpot's own multi-language variants?

HubSpot's approach creates a language variant of each page or post, and you translate each variant by hand, or with Breeze on Content Hub Professional or Enterprise. HubSpot's free tools allow three language variants per asset and Starter allows 50. ConveyThis translates the page you already have, keeps no second copy to update, and applies one glossary and one translation memory across every page, blog post and domain.

Where do I paste the snippet in HubSpot?

Click the settings icon, open Pages in the left menu (under Content, or under Website in some accounts), and stay on the Templates tab. Pick a domain in "Choose a domain to edit its settings", or keep "Default settings for all domains", then paste the ConveyThis snippet into Site header HTML and save. The HubSpot setup guide has a screenshot of the field.

Are blog posts and landing pages covered, or only website pages?

All three. HubSpot adds the Site header HTML to the website pages, landing pages and blog posts on the domains you chose, so the switcher appears on each of them. Page titles and meta descriptions are translated too. To leave a section such as a legal notice in the original language, add an excluded-page rule or put the conveythis-no-translate class on the module.

Does it translate HubSpot marketing emails or CRM records?

No. ConveyThis runs on the web pages people open on your site; marketing emails, sequences and CRM data never pass through it. If a HubSpot email links to a landing page, that landing page is translated as soon as the reader opens it.

Can a HubSpot-hosted site use fr. sub-domains?

Yes, on the Business plan or higher, provided you manage the DNS of the domain connected to HubSpot. Add one CNAME record per language, for example fr.example.com; your pages stay hosted on HubSpot and ConveyThis inserts hreflang. /fr/ folders are possible, but the whole domain would then point at ConveyThis, which is why we recommend sub-domains.
