Linguise is much cheaper. On the prices we checked on 28 September 2026, Linguise Start costs $15 a month for 200,000 translated words, Pro $25 for 600,000, and Large $45 for unlimited words under a fair-usage policy. Every Linguise plan includes unlimited languages and unlimited translated page views. For a single website where price decides, Linguise gives you more words for less money than ConveyThis at every size.
ConveyThis is the better choice when the work around translation matters as much as the price. It has a permanent Free plan, and plans from Pro upward cover several domains. It includes glossary rules, translation memory, team roles for translators and reviewers, and CSV/TMX import, and it supports 210 languages against Linguise's roughly 84.
ConveyThis also caps things Linguise does not: every ConveyThis plan limits translated words, languages and monthly page loads. If you have one busy domain and machine translation with light editing is enough, that is a good reason to pick Linguise, and you should know it before you sign up with us.

Pricing, scenario by scenario
Linguise counts "the number of words of your pages X by the number of languages," so a 100,000-word site in three languages uses 300,000 words. ConveyThis's pricing page describes its allowance as machine-translated words included in the plan, and each plan also limits languages and monthly page loads. The table uses total translated words for both.

On price alone, Linguise is cheaper on every row except the smallest. That is what both pricing pages show, and if price is all you care about, you should know it.
The limits work differently. Linguise's word quota is spent when content is first machine-translated; its FAQ says you "cannot get back the quota" by excluding pages afterwards, and that when the quota is reached new translations stop while existing ones keep being served. Its Large plan is unlimited under a fair-usage policy that names sites regularly above 100,000 multilingual page hits a day. ConveyThis notifies you as you approach a plan limit and lets you upgrade or turn on auto-upgrade. Both models have limits, in different places.

The totals are nearly level. Linguise scores higher on cost, and ConveyThis scores higher on workflow and governance. If price matters to you more than our 15% weight, Linguise comes out ahead, and the table shows the arithmetic so you can redo it.
Where Linguise is the better choice
Choose Linguise, or stay on it, if one of these applies to you:
- Price is what decides it. 200,000 translated words for $15, or 600,000 for $25, with unlimited languages, is less than ConveyThis charges for the same volume at every size above 30,000 words.
- Your site is busy. Linguise does not limit translated page views on any plan. ConveyThis caps monthly page loads, from 15,000 on Starter to 5,000,000 on Extreme.
- You want many languages on one site without moving up a tier. Every Linguise plan allows all its languages, while ConveyThis plans include 1 to 100 languages depending on the tier.
- You want a long free trial. Linguise's first month is free with up to 600,000 words and no card. ConveyThis has a permanent Free plan but no timed trial of its paid plans.
- You want someone to install it for you. Linguise offers free installation.
Where ConveyThis is the better choice
- You have a small site and want to keep it on a free plan. The ConveyThis Free plan covers 5,000 words in one language with no time limit. Linguise requires a paid plan after the first month.
- Brand and product names must be translated consistently. ConveyThis glossary rules and translation memory keep terms and corrected sentences the same everywhere. Linguise offers replace and ignore rules but does not describe a translation memory.
- Several people work on translations. ConveyThis team roles let you invite translators and reviewers with the right level of access.

Switching from Linguise to ConveyThis
Linguise stores translations on its own servers and says an active plan is required to keep serving them, so plan the switch before your Linguise subscription ends.
- Write down your current language URLs and keep the same structure in ConveyThis, so pages Google already indexed keep their addresses.
- Save the edits that matter. If your translators changed important pages, note or export those translations. ConveyThis imports CSV and TMX files under Translation Management → CSV/TMX.
- Create the ConveyThis project with the same languages and let it translate the site.
- Add glossary rules for brand names, product names and terms your Linguise replace rules covered.
- Swap the plugin or script, check three translated pages in a private window, and cancel Linguise last.
